One of my hens laid a very large egg a couple weeks ago. The diameter is about 5.75 inches at the widest part. Yikes!

Have you opened the egg yet. Just wondering how many yolks. It could also be an egg in an egg. Just curious.
Quote:
I had several huge eggs over the years and most have been double yolk. I had one eggs that had an egg inside an egg and both eggs were double yolk.
This is the egg next to a regular large egg.
The yolks broke when I opened the first egg but you can still see both yolks.
The yolks were smaller in the second egg.
