I need help! My 6 wk old chick is acting lethargic and isn’t eating or drinking well. We’ve looked high and low for corid to give today but everyone around us is out of stock and via delivery won’t get here for another 2 days. She doesn’t have bloody stools but her stools are white/ mucousy. She is ruffling up her feathers and sleeping way more than usual. I’m worried about her and worried I can’t get corid in time. Is there any other medications/ supplements you think would help her?

For one thing, withhold anything containing thiamine, B-1. Corid blocks that to starve the coccidia.

You might also start her on an antibiotic if you have one on hand as bacterial infection often accompanies coccidiosis.

But Corid is really the most crucial. When you get it, give any obviously sick chicken a drench dose of around .5ml of undiluted Corid liquid once a day for three days along with the Corid solution (drinking water).
