My 4 year old wyandotte hen is acting totally normal, eating and drinking normal, running out of the coop each morning. The only thing wrong is her poop is weird. Semi-clear liquid with some solids mixed in.
Every once in awhile she'll drop a semi normal one.
I just dewormed her with valbazen and gave her a bath with epsom salt.
The diarrhea has been going on for about a week.
I read that symptoms of kidney failure are often sudden onset, and a seemingly healthy, chicken can succumb quickly. So I guess that worried me.
I may be wrong. The birds recently started free ranging again, and I suspect she might have started laying again.
So those changes might have stressed her out.
I have some tylan 200 injectable and some sulfadimethoxine (sulfamed 40) laying around and I can administer some if necessary.
Any advice is greatly appreciated
