weird regional words...

In S. New Mexico a water tank is a hole in the ground that water is caught in when it rains and the cattle drink out of it.

Also to "tank" something is to fail it.
 
"spendy" as in expensive.
You want to make sure you don't wear anything spendy when tending chickens.

I don't like that term, but it's popular here.

The first time I heard the term "wonky" was watching the tv show Charmed. The character, Page, replaced Prue, and she used that term a lot. Next thing I knew I kept hearing it and it drove me nuts!
 
Ha ha we say kittywampas (spelled like it's said) all the time!

As in - "Wow! Your deck is kittywampas - you better fix that."
