Welbar using a cuckoo maran?

One breed I could never figure creating is the Welbar. I've read the accounts that say the Welbar's eggs are the same as dark eggs from the Welsummer and Welbars are autosexing. Since the parent Welsummers are already such stunning plumage birds laying dark eggs and already autosexing at birth, may I ask the point of trying to create the Welbar?

The Welbar and Rhodebar roos look so similar and from what I can discern from internet photos look similar to Bielefelder plumage too. Out of all the created autosexing breeds just can't figure creating a Welbar except maybe for fun. Just wondering - Smiles

I can sort of understand creating the pretty Rhodebar as it will probably have a milder temperament and maybe better camouflage than the straight glistening Rhode Island red plumage in a foraging field.

Guess y'all are after breeding some pretty birds which they are!
