Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I think the decent ones at Home Depot are over $100!
DW & I cut our own at a tree farm for years, but for some reason she's going to the Boy Scout lot these days :idunno
When we mover here in '73, we bought a live pine. When Christmas was over, I put it into the cool basement 'til the ground thawed enough to get a shovel in the ground...along about April! Never did anything when I planted it except give it a good drink. It's has to be a good 60' tall now!

I'm pretty sure the drivers around here are hitting the panic button about now. They'll empty the grocery shelves of milk & toilet paper, buy expensive generators, and buy all snow shovels in sight. It's actually hilarious! They get in their yuppie vehicles & head for the nearest ditch, to make sure they get a good spot. You'd swear they'd never seen snow before; have not the foggiest clue of how to drive in it. They're either crawling along at the rate of 2 miles/every 3 weeks, or trying to beat the land speed record.
Unreal!

Same here! I'm with ya. :lau

It's frickin cold, but full of pork pies and gin, so I'm good :D

:clap

Did I ever tell the story of the time that I put a bunch of mantis egg cases behind the radiator in our bathroom ? My mother was not happy.

At least they make good entertainment.

That's as bad as when I brought the Science class's mice home for the summer, & housed them in one of my sisters' old wooden doll houses. Dad wasn't a happy camper when he found technicolor mice all over the house!
