Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Well, we are back from hunting for the tree. It didn't take too long, but E and I are fairly terrible at knowing which little green "okay to cut" square on the map coincides with real land. So we may or may not have taken a tree from someone's property... :hmm
I started the decorating, made a big mess, and now I'm taking a break!
Lisa, it's good to hear from you -sorry that migraine took you out! Glad you're feeling better!

You do have a beautiful home.
Much nicer than the shack I live in.
But I'm down to the last payments..... Soon I won't owe a thing on it.

Shaw!!! :hugs:hugs

Lost my quotes..:(

I'm not really a big drinker. Guess y'all know that tho after how silly I get from one gin and tonic.
Smoking is an entirely different entitie...I appreciate your stories of struggle and accomplishments with it. It's encouraging, I may never be strong enough to let it go but it's good to know I'm not alone I the struggle.:hugs

I've been making double payments for years couldn't believe how fast it pays down that way. I think we will pay it off at least ten years sooner than it's supposed to.
We've been in this house for 19 years.....
We had a nice house on another mountain, things got tight, we ended up in foreclosure. We cut our losses and walked away with our heads up. We found the 5 acres where we are and were abled to borrow the full amount from my parents. Payed them back in 2 1/2 years. We brought the garage with us and set it up and moved in after 3 months of living in 2 small campers and cooking over a fire pit. We owe no one. It's humble living at best but it's ours.
