Nothing wrong with that.... If I had my way we would be living in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere Alaska.....(on a lake of course)We had a nice house on another mountain, things got tight, we ended up in foreclosure. We cut our losses and walked away with our heads up. We found the 5 acres where we are and were abled to borrow the full amount from my parents. Payed them back in 2 1/2 years. We brought the garage with us and set it up and moved in after 3 months of living in 2 small campers and cooking over a fire pit. We owe no one. It's humble living at best but it's ours.
Slay'em and filet'emWhack 'em & stack 'em!
Found it:
I quit the day before double bypass surgery this past February; been 10 months now, & I still miss the H3LL out of my pipes.
Well, we are back from hunting for the tree. It didn't take too long, but E and I are fairly terrible at knowing which little green "okay to cut" square on the map coincides with real land. So we may or may not have taken a tree from someone's property...
I started the decorating, made a big mess, and now I'm taking a break!
Lisa, it's good to hear from you -sorry that migraine took you out! Glad you're feeling better!

Couldn't agree with y'all more. I do like my tin can in the woods.Wow, brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing.
Keep on missing them...
Lovely!
Can't beat that with a stick.
that's one of the reasons we built our cabin on the farm land. We will always have something that noone can take from us.![]()
I do too. They always look so confused at first..Too funny.Well, we're officially getting our first snow that looks like it'll stick. I can't wait to see what the birds hatched this year think about it in the morning; it's always funny to see their reaction to their first snow.
It's a big mess...Dd and her little friends have taken over the kitchen to make cookies..with frosting...everywhere.You do have a beautiful home.
Much nicer than the shack I live in.
But I'm down to the last payments..... Soon I won't owe a thing on it.
It is lovely, and the tree is beautiful! It's a big mess...Dd and her little friends have taken over the kitchen to make cookies..with frosting...everywhere.
The house was the only one we looked at back when our kids were little that wasn't white or stucco. It was built in the late 70's by a guy who owned a lumber business, so there's wood everywhere and, miracle of miracles, no one painted over it!!
The first house we lived in when we moved here was across from the jail. People visiting relatives would camp in our front yard...we'd wake up and-surprise! We lived there almost three years. E's parent wondered why I didn't ask for a divorce after he moved us there.![]()
That's awesome . DW and me lived in a camper for four years tying to get enough money to buy land and build a house .We had a nice house on another mountain, things got tight, we ended up in foreclosure. We cut our losses and walked away with our heads up. We found the 5 acres where we are and were abled to borrow the full amount from my parents. Payed them back in 2 1/2 years.
