Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

:sick
I hope doesn't get bad! :fl

As long as the wind doesn't bring any trees down, all is good. We're not going anywhere, and the generator can run the entire house if necessary. We're just going to hunker down for the day. Handler is at a field trial in So. Jersey with Tee Party today. He won another trial with him on Monday. Little dog is performing very well right now.

Storm is just picking up here. Worst is supposed to be between 2 PM and 7 PM. Snow is starting to build up on the grassy areas but not on the road - it's just too warm for that.
Be better if it built up on the roads; maybe fill in some of NJ's infamous potholes.

:fl the trees stay put! And no power outages!
Congratulations on the win! Good pup! :clap

I bought 2 rolls of that cloth once; not worth a dam. Want the 2nd roll?
I don’t know exactly what kind it is since the previous owners put it in. But it must be some high dollar stuff because nothing grows where that stuff is put down! So sure. Lol. Anytime you are in the Midwest stop by. We have plenty of room for company! You can come tell me all the things I’m doing wrong with my birds since I know practically nothing.:lau

Dave?

Of course it turned out as a nice professional job. :clap

Nice quiet catch up for you.

He was raking new mulch in, set the base of those grasses on fire, turned to rake some more, and the wind picked up, blazed the side of the house in a split-second! A sprinkler system would have been nice! :p
He hosed it down in a hurry, but it did melt a few rows of siding. on top of that, we couldn't match the color, so we stole some from the back of my garage to replace the melted ones, and replaced the back of my garage with a slightly different color. Close as we could get. Lol!
Well that’s really smart and resourceful! I bet it’s funny now that you didn’t burn the house down.

The fireman at our house does all the burning since he knows everything.......

Which is probably twice what I know. I just follow my gut, which isn't hard considering how much of it I have to follow :lau
We generally go through the midwest once a year, on the way to WI; son's up there, near the lake.

Just came in; found no damage, & everything seems to be where I left it except a couple 1 gal oil jugs that I'm trying to refill for transport to the recycling center, if the pump will work consistently, that is. We moved both vehicles out of the range of the big Pine in case it decided to come down, which it didn't. Never lost power. Worst of the wind is over; mid 30's now & starting to diminish within the next 2-3 hours. Looks like we dodged a bullet this time.
Wow - windy all over the place! Things have finally settled down here. We have a couple trees that are classic "topplers" - big blue pine with about 30 tops and zero root spread. Glad everything stayed put - you and me both!
