Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

As long as the wind doesn't bring any trees down, all is good. We're not going anywhere, and the generator can run the entire house if necessary. We're just going to hunker down for the day. Handler is at a field trial in So. Jersey with Tee Party today. He won another trial with him on Monday. Little dog is performing very well right now.

Yeah Tee Party! :clap

Wow - windy all over the place! Things have finally settled down here. We have a couple trees that are classic "topplers" - big blue pine with about 30 tops and zero root spread. Glad everything stayed put - you and me both!
The Maples always amaze me; their root system is very shallow, but they seldom go down around here.

Good morning, Pond, I'm back from Connecticut casino land. I'm not a gambler, but the Princess found a slot, "Chicken Yard", and said, "You have to play it." Turned $20 into chicken scratch in a heartbeat and returned nothing. So the Princess is playing some machine where a leprechaun periodically throws out gold coins. He's being tight with the money so she starts tapping on the screen and saying, "C'mon give me a little. Don't be holding out on me. You can do it." Guy at machine next to her is looking strangely at her out of the corner of her eyes. Just happens that she is tapping on the leprechaun's crotch. I say to him, "It's okay she's like this all of the time. Nothing to worry about." Thought he was going to pee his pants laughing. This is life with the Princess. Can't make this stuff up.

Good to be home.
LMAO Well did she get the leprechaun to drop his load :eek:Of gold ?????????:lau:lau Glad you had a good time wish M generator would run the house. And you sure are proud of the puppy . I would be too .:thumbsup

She's out. Little OEGB. First one if the season for me. Haven't had any littles since Felicia hatched her babies in October, so I'm all excited again. :D

Okay. Advice needed.
The guy with whom I am swapping hatching eggs isn't local. I didn't know this until he sent pics of his stock and he has a fair amount of snow on the ground. He's in Boise, Idaho. So this isn't going to be a parking lot swap. Shipping required.
Now, I'm inclined to just go ahead and send them - because that's just me - and take the consequences. But are there some things I should be saying/doing to make sure he holds up his end of the bargain? (He found me from my little website about my birds, so he's probably not very concerned - but I don't know him... although he sent his address; guess I could do some digging.)

Good morning pond surfers . :frow Bright sunny day for maybe a couple of days . Hope so got lots of doings . And they all need done now :th:lau On the bright side my brain keeps busy . Can I help it if it overloads and some of it comes out of my mouth :lau:idunno

Maples grow roots searching for water . The root growth is amazingly fast . Tap roots are only limited by soil depth . If they aren't hollow they stay up and hardy . A septic field nightmare though . :barnie Used to someone would call, and say I have a problem and if a maple is there. You can bet that's the problem .

So he is supposed to send you eggs too? Are you concerned that his have frozen? Or worried that you may send a box and get nothing in return?
Look him up on FB. See how his communication is with others, and if he posts much. You can always publicly shame him if he falls thru. :D
