Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

So, I found Kewp this morning. She was wedged in the very center of one of our gigantic bushes. It took a bit of work just to get to her. She was breathing, but barely - not opening her eyes. She's been one of those flighty and frail EEs her whole life. But, I have been really taking care of her for the better part of 6 months now; so I couldn't just euthanize her on the spot. I know. I know. My advice to others would be totally different from what I'm doing right now. I made her a comfy bed of straw (she was never a people friendly bird, so holding her would not allow her to rest) in a warm spot away from the other birds. She kind of nestled in and I propped her head up a little. Her eyes are closed and I know she's not got long. :( Why am I so sad about this bird??
So sorry for your special bird. You put time and energy into her and u care about her. I am the same way. I have a little quail that's about half the size of the others. I should just cull it but i want to give it a chance. What for, i don't want its genetics? Because i care about it.

But the birds out back are not having any part in my mourning.
@sourland - blaming you. Broody jail -Um, I mean tractor- has no more beds.

@Ravynscroft guess what..... I DON'T have any EEs in my bantam coop... the only blue egg layers are the Ams.... AND it turns out the dark brown eggs are from the Wyandotte! The super light brown/ cream eggs are from the Rhode Island Reds!!!!
Crazy birds better get busy reading those breed specifications...
