Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I'm heading to bed early, too. Tomorrow is my ambulance service's annual pancake breakfast. Setup is to start at 6:00 am, but I'll probably get there closer to 7. We serve from 8-1, and by the time we're done with cleanup it's about 3:00. Usually a long, tiring day but fun.

Think I'll do the same. Tomorrow they are having a get together for Tadpole's half-birthday, so I'll be gone most of the day too.

So I had to sell my drakes (too related) but I got a new one and four more girls at the auction.

Dd1 just called. Her CT was good. So they think it's the weather and allergies and stress kicking up the migraines.
She went last night for the piercing and had a migraine when she went and 10 minutes after the piercing the migraine was gone.. no meds at all!
:celebrate
I think I'm gonna have it done.:)
Ok I'm out now...:frow
Good night FMF, sorry i missed you. Been crazy busy! Got up at 6 for the swap, scraped the frost off the windshield! Brrr! But it turned into a great day, sold 4 bunnys, eggs, and bought CCL hatching eggs!:ya

I took the duo that I kept from my last hatch outside today. they were peeping, and Lexi was trying to find them, but she couldn't get to them, so I figured I'd try an introduction.
She wasn't too mean to them, but they didn't follow her around, so no adoption there.
But the duo stayed in the big duck pen all day without incident.

AWESOME!! :clap
Glad everything went well today. :hugs

I did some pen swapping. Moved a cockerel out of one pen, was going to cull him, and hubby talked me out of it! :he
He said "why kill him just because you don't need him...? that's mean"

Also got my temporary pen taken down, didn't get it put back together for the BCMs. We decided to go ahead and get the stuff for the permanent addition, instead of doing another temporary thing. :yesss:

And Lexi lost another baby today. One died on like day 2. Got too cold. Today I did a head count, one was missing, heard it peeping... It was stuck in some chicken wire. No idea how long. It was limp. I warmed it up, laid it down to see if she would try to care for it, but she walked right by it. Brought it inside and it died a couple hours later. :(
So sorry you lost your baby. I hate when that happens!:hugs

Dam it. :(

I like the color/ patterns
Me too. I ran into the guy selling and he said they’re Ancona’s. He seemed like a pretty decent guy and I don’t really know of anyone else there that would pack one drake and three to four hens in every single cage. Usually it 2-3 drakes and 3-2 ducks.

Glad everyone behaved themselves - and you were able to pull through okay, but I known it wasn't the easiest thing. :hugs

I was reminded of my cousin's wedding - as we were leaving, E said, "You think it might not be the best sign when the pastor is giving marriage counseling during the wedding?"
Some, you think won't succeed, do great... Some you think we're a match made in heaven, not so great. Go figure.
They gave me and my wife a year .....
