DD is sick, sinus infection & hubby is too sore to move from yesterday's canoe trip. So this was all me & the awesome long splitter that I Thank God we were able to buy. It's been a life saver.

Howdy peeps..... (my phone always writes "perps").....how you all are good.
Long day today.....I went to town and picked up a dozen bags of concrete and a stack of treated 2X6's....Time to build a new porch.
Put a new belt on the rider so i can cut the grass tomorrow. (Actually today).
My friends are having a turkey Fry today at the lake. That should be pretty good. I enjoy deep fried turkey.
Hope everyone's Sunday is a great one.
LOL @ perps - well, given the crowd that may not always be all that far off......

Sounds like a busy day ahead for you - enjoy the turkey fry, the rewards of a busy day of work from the sounds of it.

Good on ya there -- that's a whole lot of work accomplished.
Good morning! You all need to get some rest:D. I'm getting ready to go walking. Hubby is sore today but ok after all that. So thankful. Brother said in hindsight we should've got s raft.

I have chicken questions..... Right now all are in a common coop. I have to reinforce it before winter. I would also like to somehow divide spaces in there for my breeders. I have:

1 black jersey giant roo & approx 8 pullets & hens
1 speckled sussex roo. & 8 pullets
1 blue copper French Marans cockerel & 1 blue copper French marans hen
2 black copper French marans cockerels & 1 French marans hen, also several Easter Eggers & Olive Eggers (but I prefer to put some of those with my cuckoo marans Roos)

In the end, I need to know how to divide the coop up into about 7 sections. It has to be easy to feed and water them and still allow enought space for walking thru. Also has to have hen house area for all the non breeding layers. Any ideas? The current coop I have is probably about 20'x30'. I probably just need another coop:D

I would approach it as building a separate coop anyway, but the existing building could very easily be divided into pens. A rough sketch of it as it is now (showing any doors, windows, etc) would help in the planning. Will you be constructing runs attached to each internal pen so they have access to the outside or rotating them through a common run one breed at a time?

Can you cut holes in the outside walls? I ask because maybe PVC feeders fastened inside along the walls with the capped openings directed outside might be a good space saver option??
