Im excited about it. Planning to start with it running the pump that pumps water up for our non potable water. Once we get that down hopefully start backing other stuff off the grid.

I took the kids to a revolutionary museum by our house today. We've driven past it a thousand times but never went in. It was pretty interesting. When we left, I asked them my normal question;

Me: Did you learn anything today?
DD1: Yeah. That the 'long s' is really freaky!
Me: Agreed. Totally agreed.

I'm not sure how I went my whole life unaware of 'the long s', but I might start using it just to mess with the kids a bit.

Ok, I need some ideas. My 6 year old is getting ready to turn 7 in a couple weeks. He has been asking me for his own YouTube channel for the last year. And I’ve said no. But I’m getting ready to set one up that I have control over and he can tell me which ones he wants to download. Just silly kids stuff. He’s really really smart. I’m trying to think of a gift for his birthday that he will like. Is there some sort of filming device or software maybe that is cool for making videos? I know there are tons of different products but I don’t know where to start.

PS. We monitor our kids online activity quite a bit so that shouldn’t be an issue.

Don't know there really wasn't any internet when my kids grew up..... There was when they got older but by then they were practically adults....... My daughter grew up with the internet but that was before youtube got so big and facebook was still growing....

I enjoyed my afternoon....I like driving through the woods ... And getting stuck to me is just a challenge......I was totally calm and cool.
I knew one way or the other we would get her unstuck...I told my friends not to worry it's not like I'm not smart enough to figure a way out.....I just wish her had chains and not straps we would have gotten right out and got a chance to fish .... The Huron river was hot with steelhead but my buddy wanted to go home after the whole ordeal..... He was worried his wife would worry.... Heck I told him my wife wouldn't have worried for a few days ....

I swear you and dh have got to be related.
I dont worry until 24 hours after the time he says he'll be home from a trip like that...and even then i dont panick until 48 hrs...

I understand WV is rural...... But we drove 50 miles without passing a building or another vehicle....... This is quite literally uninhabited..... With only Lake Superior to the north and 30 miles in any direction without a road or town...... Even considered the remote for here...... This part of the U.P. Is just nowhere. We actually drove over 100 miles today without ever having a single bar of cell service. Yeah no one knew where we were.
We were 60 miles from the river I told the wife we were going to.........I never had any service to tell her where we went.....

I went ahead and put the pheasant eggs in the bator... i figured why not. They arent taking up and spots in the turner so might as well see if theyll develope.
