I swear you and dh have got to be related.
I dont worry until 24 hours after the time he says he'll be home from a trip like that...and even then i dont panick until 48 hrs...

Yeah I've not made it home a time or two...... But up here especially before cell phones if you got stuck at someone's camp you didn't have a way to call. Just they way it is.
She knows I'm not out screwing around so.....

That's how it is in a lot of the places he goes. And while not near as bad as where you are, it can be 20 to 30 mile hike before you can find cell service or any people. They always take stuff for 2 nights, essentials, just in case. And he marks the map and route they are taking just in case and leaves it with me. Its all ya can do..

I understand WV is rural...... But we drove 50 miles without passing a building or another vehicle....... This is quite literally uninhabited..... With only Lake Superior to the north and 30 miles in any direction without a road or town...... Even considered the remote for here...... This part of the U.P. Is just nowhere. We actually drove over 100 miles today without ever having a single bar of cell service. Yeah no one knew where we were.
We were 60 miles from the river I told the wife we were going to.........I never had any service to tell her where we went.....

In that case.....

I went ahead and put the pheasant eggs in the bator... i figured why not. They arent taking up and spots in the turner so might as well see if theyll develope.

If you look at the area just Northwest of Marquette where there are no roads or no towns..... That where we were today.
And yeah it's quite literally no where..... The little Bay that looks like a finger sticking into Lake Superior that Huron Bay.... That's where we eventually came out.
