Thanks! She's the only mellow one we have. The rest are a little wild. I love their eggs tho.

Yeah, we lost the one mellow one we had last year... the rest are crazy flighty. (I put them with my other insane birds in the "Freak Out" coop.)

I wondered if it was just me. We've never had such sketchy birds before. The kids are outside with them all day & raise them to be lap birds, but the CL's have been slow to tame. I tolerate it because I'm crazy for those minty blue eggs. I think Iris is an OE. If she ends up being a pullet I'm hoping for those luscious olive green eggs.

I like her! I'm anxious for mine to grow out. I've wanted CCLs since I first saw them, shortly after getting my first birds.

Ugh! that sucks! Some parents just claim zero accountability. I hope they never get the bright idea to mess with your pets! Is thee any way to fence the back lot off?

We plan on it as soon as funds are available to do so. But we have a lot to get done before the whole thing can get fenced. There is an Old condemned house that needs taken down. . tree work that needs done first. . etc. And you know ..again The funds. Lol.

my rose Comb white Leghorns mellow as they mature... the dark browns... even the old ones ... always freak.

Good evening, Pond!
Busy day here. Church, out to lunch with friends, a trip to the Greenhouse for plants, putting said plants in the garden, then sitting out in the yard, just enjoying nature at it's finest. Birds galore, deer, sunshine and great weather. What more could a person ask for?

Still on baby watch. Granddaughter #2's due date was today. No news so far.
