Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I can't remember what happened yesterday! :D
Sounds like you have been productive. I've had a few productive days also, but getting a bit too wet here again.
I've been to flag retirement ceremonies. Do they explain that stuff in schools? I bet there are kids who don't know how to properly handle a flag.
They used to. Probably not much any more.

I tried pellets early on, and they wouldn't eat them. I just stuck to the seeds. I should try changing them over again. I forgot pellets were better for them. :(

they will at times choose to starve to death instead of eating a new food... but I found budgies easier to switch.

I put the pellets in the favorite high up feeder. I put the seeds in the low down not as nice one.

For the 2 budgies I have had... that was all it took.

Silly birds! I thought it was the flavors I bought. :p I'll try that method. Thank ya!

I survived my Disneyland adventures, but I was randomly captured by a couple Imperial Guards, marched thru the crowd at gun point, detained & accused of being a Rebel Traitor.

Got along great with the other humans there, but I'm pretty sure they'll remember me as 'that freaky white chick in the combat boots.' :lau:gig

Pretty sure the kids are gonna need therapy after being left alone here all day without me monitoring & filtering her. :he

sounds like fun :pop

(in hindsight)

It was fun.... In hindsight.

And it's been a sad day here too. Had to put down my pretty blue Bibb call duck. :hit
She has been suffering from an ongoing vent issue I think it was vent gleet. She was just in too much pain.

You did what you had to do. It was the merciful thing. I also euthanized my black/white half-a-leg tenacious serama yesterday. :hugs
The worst part of bird-keeping.

Sorry to all that have lost birds today! Count me in, one of the young quail was being picked on and died. Idk about it until it died, its butt was bald!

Oh you guys.… :hit I'm sorry!!! :hugs:hugs:hugs

I got this a little Howard baby to snuggle though for those who haven't heard. :)View attachment 1425642

:wee:love:ya:celebrate:yesss::love (Tears of joy Shaw! Tears of joy!!!!) :bow

Our week is looking toasty! I think it's supposed to be in the 100s for three days starting tomorrow. Well, this is Redding, and I guess it was inevitable. :)
@Alaskan I think I may take your advice and write myself a bill of sale. I can also use the excuse that I don't like to sell chicks that have been at my house for more than a week because of our outbreak last fall. (Even though I keep them very separated, use quarantine protocols, etc... I don't have to mention that, do I??? :) )

I wouldn't mention it. We know you're meticulous about your biosecurity best not to give somebody the wrong idea that might hurt future sales. I yes, you know I'd keep them.

Well, gee, that's a big surprise. Not !

Have fun, 'City Girl'.

WHAT??? …. HEY!!! :rant

(just kidding!);) :lau:gig

How old are the babies? Pulling the nest box mixes them with the others?

I see you Dudder! :love

Thinking about that rabbit I had as a kid. . omg the poor thing. It probably hated me :lau
I used to put it on a leash and collar drag it around. Until one day it got spooked by something and wrapped around a tree and nearly strangled. A rabbit in distress has got to be one of the most horrifying sounds on earth.
And being a child. . I didn't even know they could make noise so talk about frightening.
I carried it home crying cause somehow I still thought it was going to die. :gigIt was fine. .but that was the end of the leash and collar.
I told my grandpa about it and one day he brought me an old shopping cart from the grocery store where my grandma worked.:)
I had no clue why I would want that silly thing until my dad fitted it with hardware cloth and made it where I could take my bunny for walks again :lau:lau:lau
Dear God. . no wonder I never had any friends :lau

You & I would have been BFF's :highfive:

Was that a disturbance in the force you just felt?? No, that was the wave of Orr's jealousy flowing down from NorCal! ;)

(I LOVE Disneyland. .. Love it - would marry it... if I was into that kind of thing. :bun)
