Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good morning Pond Skimmers. The crazy woman that I love insisted on unpacking everything last night. :th Nothing much in the house to eat, and we didn't think we should go out to eat so I made a frozen pizza. It was still daylight when I crashed and burned - Princess came to bed somewhat later. Between time changes/jetlag and the full moon I am fully awake and ready to roll. #1 grandson is home from college so we are meeting him, significant other, daughter and perhaps #2 grandson for lunch. Prior to that I have dog sleeping boxes to clean and have to give Tee Party a workout as my friend leaves for the first of the federation trials tomorrow. Not quite fair to the dog, but he's a pretty consistent creature; although, he gained more weight than I like while I was gone.

Everyone has seen those little hula dancer dash ornaments. Now for sure you all know that I am not tacky enough to buy one of those - heck no. I got a hula dancer BBR rooster for my dash. I NEVER impulse buy anything, but that thing was meant for me. :lau

What's going on here ? Not even a ripple on the Pond let alone any waves or tsunamis.

We're home. Hello Pond Life. We left our hotel 11 AM yesterday and got home at 3:30 this afternoon. Not certain how many hours that is with all of the time changes - my jet lagged brain just can't go there. Due to a missed connection in San Francisco on the way there we were on the go for 25 hours before we arrived at out hotel. We're whupped for sure and will be crashing soon. Hope that all is well on the Pond and that all are okay. Talk to you tomorrow.
:bow:wee YOu were missed.... cant wait till you shake it off and give us and update....

I can't say the same unfortunately regarding the predator issues. However, those that survive just don't seem to get ill.
I'm just really lucky..... And I lock them up tight as a drum at night. It would be hard for anything to get them at night. Small Ermine could if they knew where to go in..... But other than that it would take considerable effort and I'm sure I'd catch them before they could get through. A few years ago something started to dig in the only vulnerable area....I poured concrete into the hole..... It's not vulnerable anymore.

I reckon if I had a brain I would be dangerous!
I made loads of curry when I got the paste. Six large portions be precise.
What I didn't do was check how much room I had in the freezer compartment of the fridge......

I'll be on the toilet again if anyone wants me.

I have two big chest freezers..... Probably don't need to. But we've always had them and when the kids moved out we still have two.
I always get a giggle before a big storm comes when they warn you to stock up and have three days worth of food on hand..

...I think I have the first year or two covered.

Two chest freezers and an upright here. We buy beef locally by the half or quarter, usually get 1 or 2 deer a season, process our own chickens and have gotten into the habit of Alaska every couple of years and bringing salmon home. Not to mention produce from the garden. We pretty much only buy milk, bread and fresh produce from the store.

We came back from WI a couple years ago to a chest freezer full of spoiled meat; power failure. Not fun!
