Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

:frow ive got an extra charge today. Neighbors 13 yr old troubled orphan nephew. Kicked outa school 2 months in, she tells me put him to work  all of my waterers got scrubbed yest, branches gathered for a bon fire, the littles powerwheels were cleaned(pollen:sick) and my truck got washed :D
He could clean coops today! Might make him decide school is much better and he'll behave..:lau:oops:

We're home. Hello Pond Life. We left our hotel 11 AM yesterday and got home at 3:30 this afternoon. Not certain how many hours that is with all of the time changes - my jet lagged brain just can't go there. Due to a missed connection in San Francisco on the way there we were on the go for 25 hours before we arrived at out hotel. We're whupped for sure and will be crashing soon. Hope that all is well on the Pond and that all are okay. Talk to you tomorrow.

Welcome home!! :wee

Thats the plan! Musical coops to clean coops, getting ready for processing on sunday when the quail are 6 wks old :drool

He goes to a behavior school starting tumro then ill start picking him up everyday and he will do a chore a day to pay his babysitting fee since a kid his age should be responsible enough to trust at home for an hr after school but hes not:confused: after he understands requirements, stops testing boundries, and heals some of his deep hurt he seems like he could be a pretty good kid but hes had it tough without much positive guidance. Ive already caught him tryn to steal cig butts  someone needs to tell him im an ex con with an understanding for the naughty but i wont :lau

If he doesn’t know who he’s messing with, he will keep trying to push the boundaries and you’ll catch him. Let it stay that way for a while. ;)

Those are adorable! :love

And on the freezers... im tryn to get an extra upright fridge/freezer for my back porch but not having one my fridge is always ridiculously overstocked for the size of our family  and not much is leftovers either the chickens eat all those to conserve space for ex the 4 gals of milk we have to buy each wk.

Its sad that he's had a hard life at such a young age and Im glad he has help available... but mostly glad that you dont feel sorry for him, that's the worst thing anyone can do for him.:hugs

I also have some other new pigeons hatched. The two I have inside are doing fine. Now 2 new ones I hope we’ve warmed up enough and the parents take care of these.
Both sets had two eggs, but one egg each quit, so they have lone babies. But that’s ok, the singles will get all the attention.

This pair of Satinettes also hatched another one last December, she is doing great. This is the dad and baby, hatched last Friday.

And this is the first hatch for my only pair of parlor rollers, this one just hatched yesterday (possibly the day before) They are caged by themselves, separate from my Frills.
