That flower is beautiful!! The geese are pretty as far as geese go. They're not my favorite - bad experience as a kid.

Well, it was kind of a terrible day. I woke up to and a raccoon attack that got my Broody mama and four of her babies. They destroyed my Broody coop. I put the three surviving babies with another broody, hoping she would take to them, but she didn't. So, I fixed the the coop back up again as best I could and put the babies in a dog carrier inside of it hoping they can stay warm enough tonight. They did a lot of crying and huddled under my hand when it got dark. But I think they're going to be okay.

Those looking for rain,,,,,,,PLZ take ours!!!!
Days and days of nothing but rain with the occasional break of just cloudy and dreary with no dry day expected (or hoped for) until maybe Saturday. Oh, and we should most likely frost at night until then. We've already broken the rain record for the year, whoopee. Worst of all is there will be no fall color this year. The rain and wind is taking all the leaves down as soon as they turn.
Oh well, the blessing for us anyway, is that we are well upstream of all the flooding and at least it's not snow, yet.

It's been dreary and dismal here, too. I've been taking my Vitamin D, but am definitely feeling the effects of days on end of clouds and rain.

I have to share this: My morning student has a job after breakfast. Kid is to refill the milk cooler and take out recycling from the kitchen. It was raining, so the kitchen manager told us we could just take the recycling to the door and leave it, and someone would take it out when the rain stops. Nope. Kid wanted to take the recycling out. I said, "You don't have a raincoat or umbrella, how are you going to stay dry?" Kid used problem solving skills, and a perfect head-sized box made the perfect rain hat! I stayed in, and let Kid do the job. Kid came in all proud, smiling and saying, "I did it myself! No para!" I'll have to admit - I was a bit proud of the kid today.

Gotta love the Pond, and to think that @Alaskan inferred yesterday that we are all nuts. SMH
