Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I believe the kid. Eyes are super sensitive and he would certainly feel pain from the piece of metal even if it was teeny tiny. But I would think it would make even a little blood spot show up. Is this the kid you consider "slow?"

There are kids/adults who have no feeling when they get hurt, and so they get hurt worse because no pain feeling to warn them.

It should have caused pain... which it why it was so odd that it did not cause pain .. and he didn't notice it.

This kid is the one I consider normal. :lau

He did think the numbing eye drops stung (and they do), so that shows that he does have functional pain receptors in his eye.

So just all over ODD.

Well, it was kind of a terrible day. I woke up to and a raccoon attack that got my Broody mama and four of her babies. They destroyed my Broody coop. I put the three surviving babies with another broody, hoping she would take to them, but she didn't. So, I fixed the the coop back up again as best I could and put the babies in a dog carrier inside of it hoping they can stay warm enough tonight. They did a lot of crying and huddled under my hand when it got dark. But I think they're going to be okay.

When I had my cataracts done, I was fully conscious, I could even see doctor poking one side with a sharp thing that went inside. There was a monitor screen in front of my face. He did the second one at another visit and I didn't see anything happening. Maybe he didn't want a witness. It did end up that he put the wrong lens in each eye. I told him I wanted my eyes just the same as they were. One with near vision, one with far vision. He reversed them. :rantTook quite awhile to adapt to the wrong eye being the reading eye, likewise adjusting to farsightedness in the wrong eye. I was so glad to be able to see (something) in each eye I didn't holler. You would think someone who did 30 cataract surgeries every Wednesday morning, would mark above each eye how it should be.
