UGH!! my stomach is really growling I thought it would like the 4 tiny snack pack chocolate pudding cups. It did not!! Only have to survive till Sunday when my brother takes me out for lunch (Arbys) and shopping (usually a grocery store or two). Never know if the grocery has anything I want.

Order has changed though, have to shop first and then Arbys so we can go right home. You can't sit and eat at any food place - they have chairs stacked on tables. I am so dying for a bloody steak and baked potato. I bet I could order that at TGIF for take out. But the drive home would turn it into cold, cold,cold yuck.

I don't think I qualify for any stimulus check. I've only had SS income since I was old enough to get it. My check is pretty small. Much less than half what Arlene(bus person) gets - of course she gets her late husband's benefit., pension etc. I don't have any of that. My brother sez he won't get any he makes too much (YES HE DOES!!!) He works for the government and can't imagine what he does to earn it.

He is working from home and can't do basic stuff on the computer without getting my son's remote assistance. He claims he taught my son - UH NO!! One of the libraries had computer instructions on a one by one deal. My son was 4 - finished the IBM course. The instructor liked him so much let him take the Apple course too.

My son got a 4th. hand old computer and there was no stopping him. Have no idea where the computer brains came from - certainly not my family.

Please forgive the rambling - this covid stuff is making me nuts. I honestly don't believe it will ever be over. They reopened the Wuhan water market- because some folks haven't died yet I guess.

went up to form a game plan with the contractor. I was an hour late long story, I appologized and while he was waiting he pulled down the Drywall that has mold damage. pretty nasty in there.

Remember this is a very very small kitchen. I had an aha moment while ordering my new sink'
If I turn the kitchen sink cabinet so that my back is to the stove I can face the great room. the dishwasher can go to one side and now I have counter-space for work prep. ON both sides. So instead of an ell shaped kitchen it will be a Gally shaped kitchen. The counterspace on the other side of the sink will be an excellent place to seat a couple of people.. Company is a rarity in my house.

Then there is the floor dilema with the Floors stripped of covering he showed me the area that is so worrisome. Wavy OSB board Plus one level doesnt meet the other level... So what did they do? They built the difference uip with .... Drumm Roll..... BONDO. The contractor laughed when i said it looks like bondo... and not a good job too. All lumpy and bubbly...

The original kitchen was where the dining room area used to be and the floor is NOT OSB its Crappy particle board. Hes going to remove that and see whats under neath. Short part is He thinks he can make the floor flat.... If thats the case its a go for the Vinyl floor. And I took all the measurements up and came up with 744 Square feet. For subfloor rehab and Vinyl click flooring.

So now I have to draw up plans For Luis By the way hes a Journeyman in home construction.

Our bank doesn't allow anyone inside. Have to use drive up area. I don't have a car. Feel ridiculous standing there and hoping I don't get run over.

Banks here are the same during "lockdown". Even when not in lockdown it's not uncommon to see folks out for a walk, walking their dogs, on bicycles, ATVs, whatever, go thru the drive thru, even the occasional rider on horseback.

Last time I was at the bank...yes, drive through only.... there was a guy who was standing at the window.

Well... no water all day.

I heard the pump laboring... told kids to climb into the pump room and change out the filter. I was thinking the filter was just clogged.

They came back saying, yeah, the filter needed a change... but there is a pinhole leak in a pipe...

So all day long we have been trying to fix it.

Speaking of checks, our governor announced this afternoon that he is extending the public health emergency to May 12th and the slightly less restrictive stay at home order extended to May 26th. Everything is still closed that was closed mostly, with a little lightening up on a few restrictions. The check part is my boss just informed us that the census is going to continue to pay us until at least May 26th for doing nothing, then on June 1st we will be given an online "refresher" training and finally be back out on the job on June 13, but he did stress that's the plan but definitely subject to change. Of course it is, it's the government!

Oh, and now I guess I'm going to drag out the sewing machine and make us some comfortable cloth masks if we're going to have to wear them now til June

Well yes and no .They preslice the meat .I am a country boy .And used to a country store sandwich big ole thick cuts of meat. Sliced right then .You how some things just taste better. But a hoggie salad is ok .Enough black will make anything taste good .
