We saw one on our visit there 5 years ago. Came a day or so after the earthquake we experienced there. It was beautiful.We had a THUNDERSTORM up here!!!!

We get a bunch of drizzle up here, LOTS of drizzly rain. But rain storms, thunder, and lightning are super crazy rare.

Those same people had been here several years before, and we had a good old fashioned thunderstorm - pouring rain, loud thunder and lots of lightning. Their then 10-year old son was glued to the window! They were here in June, so they also got to see fireflies.
