Hmmm... I don’t know when we got them. It’s been a long time ago. I don’t do much in the quail forums because we always just have a few at a time that DD1 keeps as pets.

Any chance of doing the hatching project with your class again this year?

We hatched quail in Oct in class, but I haven't gotten my act together to do a spring project with them this year.

Can it be Friday today? Maybe we could all just take a vote? Not that the students are naughty - I really do love them - we have just been in March for forever! No breaks and no fun field trips to break the day-to-day pattern (thanks Covid). One of my students looked up at the date on the whiteboard and said, "It's still March?"

AL, you homeschool like my daughter and I did. All now have their Master's and daughter and granddaughters are far better citizens than most of those I've met that were raised by the government.

homeschooling is only as good as the teacher is...I have known home schoolers who just didn't want to get up to catch the bus---it was hit and miss education, without structure and no real plan. Just like public schools, it depends on the teacher
