Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Ya know, it very well could have been me. I was wondering around the pond, from pad to pad, trying to find that darn Christmas tree! I haven't been on the pond much lately, so I forgot where it was. 🤔. So as I hopped from pad to pad, I didn't notice I was dropping ornaments and tinsel here and there, .. until I finally reached the tree and found I only had two strands of tensel left and one pretty little red bulb. But! It was already decorated! Of course it was. I guess I thought if I got there early enough I could have helped you all..but I guess I was too late. If anyone finds a small Santa ornament on their pad, could you please keep it until I can come pick it up? It was my grandmothers! I really want to keep that one. If any of you find other things, well, keep them and accept them as a Christmas gift from me. Merry Christmas everyone...a little late. 🎄
Feel like you can drop in anytime :celebrate

Good morning, Pond.

Well, that's a mystery solved.

Good morning!

So. When we were in the process of adopting DD, we had her baby half brother with us for almost a year. We got him at 2 months old. His bio dad went through the program and got custody of him. Good for him - really hard for us.

Fast forward 18ish years (this last summer) and I got a text from DD saying she found him and he still has the blanket I made for him. Sigh. 🥲

Later, I was cleaning out our very cluttery pantry and found his Christmas stocking and "Baby's first Christmas" ornament. I asked DD if she thought he might want them. She sent me his address.

Last night I got the sweetest text from him thanking me for the mementos. He lives in another state now, so the odds of seeing him are pretty slim, but oh - my heart.

That’s so sweet! Who knows? You may get a chance to see him someday.

His continuing absence is concerning to me. :(
Ya have not seen hide nor hair of him a few weeks either.
Morning Pond too cold for man or beast about a foot of snow. This will go down in the books. More than the foot we have before we warm up enough to melt it.

He stopped gracing us with his presence on the Pond, but I didn’t realize he hadn’t been around lately. :hmm
