While I was midway in my morning routine, Maggie Mae had a major seizure. We just got back from the vet's. Blood sugar, heart, abdominal palpation - all normal. Drew blood for analysis - will have results tomorrow. Apparently in young dogs this is frequently a one time thing. I've dealt with dogs having seizures, but never anything this severe. If this was to become routine, there is no way I would allow her to endure. Right now she is fine, and I am wrecked.

Oh dear. Both my dogs have seizures. Not fun. I hope she’s ok. How old is she?



I have a vet appointment for Dudley next Tuesday. He has been coughing really badly lately. He’ll be 11 in June. I’m fearing tracheal collapse or worse. I bought some cough medicine for like kennel cough, etc, but it doesn’t seem to have helped much. Waiting 10 days for the appointment is disappointing, but they couldn’t see us any sooner.

Oh my goodness, they're adorable! What breed?

Most of them are Lamancha Boer mixes. We believe the one doe (in the picture) is a kinder type goat. Not sure though. Essentially they're all mixes though. Lol

Oh dear. Both my dogs have seizures. Not fun. I hope she’s ok. How old is she?

Maggie is 17 months old. Seizures are scary because there is nothing that you can do. As Maggie was coming out of it she was terrified and tried to bite me. My vet has been my friend for probably 50 years. If I can't 'fix' a problem and call him, he knows it is for real and fits me in immediately. I have told him that if he ever retires I am getting rid of all of my animals.

Sorry you are going through the problem of seizures with Maggie.

My Doxie had seizures and the day she had 5 seizures I had the Vet put her to sleep.

I hatched some once. I like them because the females are almost as pretty as the males.
