I have shipped parrots via the postal service... and had a family member take a parrot on the plane.

Both though were like 20 years ago.

I’m told I can ship him in cargo without having to fly with him.

You'll need an airline approved crate to ship him in, and then they just put him in the cargo area of the plane and he takes his flight. He'll be fine

I have 7 in broody jail right now and 1 setting. That's capacity for the jail. The inmates are restless!

I can't remember if I mentioned this or not but I bought bantams this year I have what I believe are buff cochins and Millie fluers (as well as some OEGB but they're really not doing well, still in the brooder, might sell them if they ever perk up )
I believe I have a pair of Cochins I was thinking I had a trio of Millie's but I'm starting to think it's two boys and a pullet. They're 7 weeks old today (I reckon lol, close enough by my calculations) any thoughts?

i dont know cochins very well yet but i see my duccles in the first two atleast. i have porcelain duccles. they have similar combs and heads etc.

Has anyone ever shipped a chicken via airplane?

I have shipped chickens 2 or 3 times, USPS. You have to buy special boxes, and very expensive, but a pretty easy process. When I bought my boxes, they came with a good checklist of things to do, and what not to do.

There was a group of school kids visiting the post office one time I dropped the chickens off, hearing crowing coming out of a box was a treat for them.
