Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I have actually. I used to have silkies but they were always broody lol. I should look into them tho!
Lots of bantams are often broody! Lol. I find when I collect eggs more often, they give up. But as soon as I leave eggs too long, they are on them like butter on toast.
Two new serama babies this morning.

And. :tongue

I am such a mental case.

In the middle of church service... the one where I am leading all singing and responses.... a picture suddenly pops up in my head... of the due date of the church insurance.... clearly... the due date is 06/14/22. I can see the bill in my minds eye, super clear, black ink on white paper..... 06/14/22. And like a tonn of bricks... I mentally gasp 06! 06! That is JUNE not JULY!

I count on my fingers while someone else is reading a paragraph... yeah... yeah.... June IS month six. :th

Sooooooooo

I had been putting off paying that bill... I thought it was due mid July.

So then.... sigh.....

Anyway... turns out today is a banking holiday. Not sure if I scrambled the world or not.... and if the e-check will try to clear before or after the additional funds clear. :he

Incompetence.... right there in the mirror, every day.

-sigh-
Don’t be so hard on yourself! :hugs We all do dumb stuff like this everyday. Call the insurance company. Let them know you paid it & when the payment will process. I bet they’ll be very forgiving.

She didn't used to talk to herself in her bedroom, but about 2 months ago she did it for the first time. I happened to walk in there and she was facing the very back corner having a full-on conversation. Of course it was baby Babel so I don't know what she was saying. But she looked back at me, then look back at the corner and set a couple more little baby words and then walked around to the front of the playpen so I can pick her up. Then as I picked her up to bring her out of the room she just kept staring in that corner. So now every time I hear her in there talking to herself, it just brings back that memory 🤣 it doesn't help that my house is like a super Old Mill Hill House. Like the oldest information you can find on this house is in 2004, but it's definitely older than that.

, Like of course! I always make extras. 🤣
Hmmm. Interesting! 🧐

Does anybody notice that their dark layers leave pigment spots inside their eggs?

I’ve only had a few dark layers & they all have done it. It’s not a problem for me, but I try not to gift those ones to new, squimish people who aren’t used to fresh, backyard eggs.

Just wondering how common this is, or if it’s a coincidence that mine do it.

It has been years since I had dark egg layers... I remember I think one had some spots on rare occasion... but in general no.... the eggs were clean inside.
