There are 5 Koi in there. They stay near the bottom and I don’t see them much. Hopefully they are still in there!

Looking good!! If you want better algae control, you may want to consider adding shade to your pond…..i have 2 ponds connected and the more shaded one grows less algae. Adding pond plants can help as well but depending on size of pond and your koi it can be tough keeping plants healthy for pond coverage (my plants are in front pond which gets more sun and holds smaller fish). I also have to rinse/clean my fountain filter approximately 1-2X per week as it gets stopped up with algae
When I lived in Texas I was into ponds...

They are cool.

You can set up one pond/marsh system that does most of the filtration that is needed. And the pond/marsh area cleans the water from the fish pond.

My pond setup was in dappled shade, and maybe that is why it never had much algae. It is hard to have plants with koi. I never kept koi, just little gold fish of various kinds since they were easier on the plants. Water plants, especially all of the lilies are pretty cool.

I had my waterfall set up in multiple steps so that one level was a perpetually cleaning bird bath. It also had one spot that dripped just right for hummingbirds to drink. Hummingbirds like to drink water drips.

Anyway, .... ponds are fun!

@OneMountainAcres i didn’t see an update on the kids ankle?

He has a moderate sprain and is in a big boot until August 22. Then, he'll be transitioned to a brace for who knows how long :/ At least he's off the crutches and doesn't need surgery (at least as of now. Hopefully he heals up right!). He starts band camp next week. It's two weeks long, All day each day... he's mad he has to try to do it in the boot lol
