Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I live with my justice

I live with my greedy need

I live with no mercy

I live with my frenzied feeding

I live with my hatred

I live with my jealousy

I live with the notion

That I don't need anyone but me

Don't drink the water.

:thumbsup

says the person with the highest post count in the pond... :lau

Don't drink the water and avoid the floaters!

Hey, the water was clear when I started that diet! :gig

:highfive: ;)

I finally had to separate my little non-thriving itty bitty Serama chick. She's still hanging in there, but the other 3 are just outgrowing her so much, and getting so boisterous, I'm afraid they were going to trample her. She just kept trying to crawl under them. I gave her the brooder plate, I think the other 3 will huddle together and be fine without heat. (in the house, 70ish degrees)

:fl :hugs

Just candled my Cochins. Three are right on target and looking good! One is iffy, and one looks like a quitter (nice red spot but also has what looks like the red ring of death). I broke open one that was clear. I had marked it when it was delivered because it didn't look good. Very loose inside, and pourous shell. There was nothing there. Not fertile. I hope I get some good chicks out of this. Disappointed with that yoke color. Maybe I'm just used to the dark yokes of my spoiled girls.

A lot of the breeding pens are set up smaller to keep others from mixing... leads to no vegetation and less bugs... hence the yolks tend to end up lighter is all...

I have a glass a day as well.  I just prefer my water flavored very strongly with alcohol, whisky flavored.

:highfive:

Say it, Sista!!!

Thank you Ravyn, that worked nicely... I think the reason I couldn't before is I was very worried of hurting her. I got her to eat a teeny bit of crumble by putting it on her tongue and offering water :yesss:

Shipped eggs are always a gamble. Glad to hear some are developing! I agree with Ravyn, plus, I think after heating them, the yolks tend to lighten up...I think...

CHRISSY WALKED!! She actually put her injured web right way up and limped 1 foot back into her crate!!!! :weee

Oh, a question..... How on earth do you get a mad ducky to open her mouth?? I quit trying coz she was pretty close to drawing blood. :th

She sure ain't lacking in jaw power.... She got so ticked at me that she went back into her crate, as detailed above. I know how to get a chook's mouth open, but ducks lack wattles, and wow do they have teeth....

:ya

Leg is warmer now.... I noticed there appears to be a blood blister on her web?? Not sure, it just looks like a bubble. Feels squishy.

She hisses at me whenever I come near her crate, and bites my hand if I reach in. Can't say I blame her.... :/

Just put my 8 Swedish Flower eggs and 1 EE egg into lockdown :fl

Also did a quick candleing of the 19 call eggs and 10 definitely have veins with 1 maybe, the rest were clear.
