Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

It is such a good thing I keep the eggs in a cabinet for incubating.

I pulled the three Serama eggs into the Eco 20 hatcher around midnight, and then spent an hour staring at their amazing tininess, hoping a chick would hatch while I watched. Since hatch isn't due for a couple of days yet, that did not happen. The two smaller eggs are no larger than a robin egg. The larger is around the size of a quail egg. The two smaller ones were loose in the quail tray and I had to pad them.

There will be lots of pictures. I feel like the first person to have ever attempted to hatch them. Crossing my big clumsy fingers for their tiny, fragile success!

If I can do it, you definitely can! Only 3 made it this far?

:yiipchick    good luck!

:weee   I checked my shipped seramas last night, 2 quitters in really bad air cells, but the other bad ones are still growing fine.

So glad to hear its ok!!

Oh, and about the two-colored chicks, I assume you mean the little freckled faces?  The father is mottled, so I think that's what causes that.  Some of the prettiest chicks I've hatched.

I have a really wiggly peeping duck egg :yesss: and I've seen at least four guinea eggs wiggle. :fl They all had good aircells so here's hoping! :fl

Always hated them. I can remember pics of me wearing them as a kid. Ugh....

My problem is I'm kinda small, so shopping in the juniors departments fits my size/shape better than the women's sections.

I'm too old for the young gals stuff, but too young for the old lady stuff.
