Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Well today has gone downhill. First, I took everything I needed over to start framing the coop - except the measuring tape, of course. Dead in the water without that. Oh well, I'll unload the wood and get started Tuesday and just spend some time with the poultry today taking pictures, no biggie. I then headed across the yard to realize that I accidentally wore sneakers instead of my boots and water immediately flooded my shoes and soaked my feet. Fine then, I'll just fix the loose wire on the coops and head out for the day. Get that fixed and then realize I am two geese short.

Willow, who can fly and is half Canada goose and sometimes takes excursions, is missing. That's pretty normal. However, Lacie, who cannot fly and is never gone, is missing too.

That goose is my favorite bird. I raised her from a baby and she imprinted on me and followed me everywhere. She chews on my hair and climbs in my lap and lets me pet her chest. She has been to schools to teach children and has even been into Petco. I love that bird. I have no clue where she is. I looked all over and saw no sign of either of them. No feathers to indicate an attack and no other missing birds. They are just gone.

I am hoping they show back up. They were both there last night.

Hope she returns soon :hugs

Spent the morning over at our Lucy's house... got home just in time for the freezing downpour, lol...

Been nasty here too, but the rain has mostly held off. Still hasn't dried up much. Ducklings are swimming in mud puddles. Had to bring this one inside for a bath! :love

lol I helped with fire wood last weekend :hugs

Yay babies!!!

Dontcha love watching a man chop firewood :drool

Not my best hatch ever, but I did end up with a gorgeous tiny serama, a beautiful calico bantam cochin, and a blue and a black copper marans. :weee

The BCM weighs 34 grams, the serama weighs 13.
