I have a friend who raised her grandson with aspergers. He just graduated high school and still has the same social awkwardness he has always had. Its been really hard. For my friend raising him. He takes everything literally . . and can't concept a lot of things. Like if someone tells him they are going to flush him down the toilet. . .he really thinks that is possible. Hope your case isn't as severe!BTW
any of y'all have to deal with asperger types?
There are still some giant social oops that my eldest is doing. Kid can't remember some basic social stuff...that he has been reminded about a jillion times over the years.
Don't get it..... all of the kids issues are my issues.... but I don't -think- I did some of the stuff he is doing at such an old age.... ...
not sure why he doesn't have it down yet.
Yesterday a classmate walked up to my kid and one other person. Classmate started telling other person the cool stuff that he and my kid had done in class. My son leaned forward and put his head down on the desk in front of him, without any comments etc.
