Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I hope it's worth it! Actually, my main reason for this option was that I know I can take the bator to a friends place that has power back up, so I can set n leave (with instructions and visits) without having total failure when the power goes AWOL. Expensive, but better than a crap shot. Time will tell...

How long do they turn off the power? A few hours won't hurt. That incubator will maintain for a while, and I just hatched one that didn't have any heat for at least 12 hours. (was around 80 degrees for that time)

Yay!!!! I got one too!!! :highfive:

400

:celebrate :highfive:

Double sweet! WV is that Comet/Red Sex Link?

I dont think so. They are when they hatch, but I dont think their offspring are. Ravyn?

:/ My three old heavy breed hens are struggling in this heat, especially Goldie our BO. They just started their tenth year but the ole gals combs are pale and they look at me like they need some relief...

Put a shallow pan of water out there. They will stand in it. Throw a few cubes of ice in it every once in a while.
