Hi pond dwellers. We're having a great time in Pagosa Springs. The drive up was gorgeous. Tried to post a pic but the hotel wi fi can't seem to handle it.

Had a habanero lime cider at the brewery with dinner and though of you all. Soaked in the mineral pools but not sure I'm magically healed. Better soak again tomorrow just to make sure.

Ahh Friday that sounds great! Your probably back home now but those mineral springs sound wonderful!

Mama Grey hatched the last 4 eggs she had and is doing great...

Hope to spend some time with my birds, honestly! I have a little coop work to do with all the new chicks my broodies have produced. I'm sure we will go out to dinner tonight, haven't decided where yet. And we might go buy a boat

So I've probably missed any updates. How have the chicks from my birds turn out?

Slow growing for Cornish in them. My EEs grew just as fast or faster, which really surprised me. No one has started laying yet, it's a little early. My favorite in color are blue laced with chestnut on the saddles, but as far as conformation my favorite is a black with a little silver on the saddle. Overall good backyard birds, but like those from my own flock nothing screams "build a breeding program". The girls are mild mannered and are starting to check out the nest boxes.
