Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Oh, I'm jealous!!! I soooo miss the Pacific coast!!!

Please go and enjoy!!

Alas, DH is a bit under the weather today so it looks like we'll be saving the coast for another day, sigh. Oh well, DS's first day at his new school is tomorrow so it's probably for the best - this way we don't have to worry about having to cut the trip short to assure he is home in time to be well rested for tomorrow.
Don't blame yourself. Some dogs are unpredictable. DH seen my cat "playfully" attack a small pullet the other day. She is an outside cat, but sleeps inside so we can avoid her getting ate by predators. I wouldn't be so worried, but when she, playfully attacks the dog, she sometimes gets really mean. (Dog is a Maltese Yorkie-Poodle mix). She frequently brings us mice, moles and wild birds she has killed. I know, that is her job, but she needs to know, chickens, are friends, no food! (For her). I've got my radar on. FREE CAT TO A GOOD HOME WITH NO CHICKENS OR BIRDS OF ANY KIND:D

I really need to say Thank You to Everyone for the cards, packages and just amazing support I have received. Things have been really hard since the trailer flooded and each day I receive any call or note it really helps my heart smile again. I cried when I received the packages from @BYC910 and @FridayYet. Then the cards from ruby and @Puddin Fluff :hit I barely know some of you guys who have reached out to help me rebuild. @Chaos18 Its enough to restore my faith in people. There Are Good people and y'all have made this a Fact in my heart for the rest of my life. I will forever remember your kindness! I am so grateful for every last cent and item! it will help so much! I really hope you know how you have touched my heart and made this whole ordeal a little easier! @WalnutHill you too and I don't think I missed anyone but if I did I am So So Sorry! I will correct it!

This is one special bunch of caring people.

Glad things are looking up. Slowly, but surely, you will prevail :) :hugs

Busy day for me and hubby. Took my 3 11-week olds lavenders - 2 cockerels and a pullet - to camp. Loaded up the 2 older cocks from there and brought them home for a local gal. She lost her roos, so these boys are getting a new flock of about 35 hens, lots of different breeds. We loaded one boy into her tote, went for the second boy, and he jumped out of my arms and ran into the woods. We tried catching him, but she had to leave to pick up her son. So hubby and I finally wore him down, chasing him around, and caught him. She'll come for him tomorrow. I put him in the pen with his 9-week old son and daughter, no problem, but I think he misses his brother and flockmates.

It was hilarious watching my little bantam cocks trying to stand up to the huge lavender boy. I must say I was amazed at how gentle the lav boys were. Never tried to peck me not one single time. They ran from me, but once I caught them, they settled down and didn't fight me. As big as they are, they are quite intimidating. But I was highly impressed.

Little Simon thought he had something for big Ted :gig

That's Orps and OEGB. Orps are gentle giants and OEGBs think they're six feet tall and bullet proof.

Chasing a chicken through the woods does not sound like fun. Glad you caught him!
