Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Talked to her and the manager at our main hub... gotta use approved boxes for chicks too... check out horizon, premier one and jeffers, those are some suppliers... and talk to your PO about best time for dropping them off for shipping...
Aww, you're too sweet... but I hate moving, lol...

I used the Horizon box, but ordered 2 from Ebay. And I dropped those birds off early in the morning, and according to the tracking, they sat there until 4:00 in the afternoon!

I love 'em. Food with comedy "special effects" - whats not to like?

Yeah, that's why it's best to talk to your hub... a lot depends on when the trucks go out from them, also whether they are day olds that can go Priority or adults that have to be shipped Express... found out our main hub is open 24hrs, surprised me...

Also, the USPS website says not to include any foodstuffs/etc, but ours highly recommended a half apple or something similar to always be included...

Yep, mine came with a checklist (not sure if the ebay seller did it, or if it came from Horizon), but said apple slices, or orange slices, etc..... something for the bird to be able to pick at, but not something that could leak. I think I put 3 apple slices one each side.

Oh, that's another point to consider - some boxes come with dividers for multiple birds.

Great points!

For chicks, a tiny tin of gro gel is recommended and a floor mat... can't remember what they're called right now, but it's like woven fiber stuff...

And boxes are pricey! Especially the shipping to just get them to you... best to buy them in bulk if you plan on doing shipping regularly...
