I'm going to make hardware cloth tubes for one of the trays in my GQF cabinet so I can try horizontal turning. I've not had problems with the egg trays, but what the heck...can't hurt, right?
It will just be a simple design with several tubes of 1/4" hardware cloth edged with something grippy. They'll sit side by side to fill the bottom of the tray, front to back, and will be zip tied to the hardware cloth bottom of the tray. Loading and unloading will just be by spreading the wire a little. There is no need to make them too tight, they won't roll out.
Yep, I have those boxes. I may not have mentioned I let the auction get to too many eggs, then they wouldn't fit in the large flat rate box.
Won't include so many eggs next time. I didn't expect them to lay so many more, and I didn't want to lie about the additional eggs.

There are bunches of them out there though, so they should still support them... Well, as much as they have in the past, which we know hasn't been great anyway. :/
I'm curious about the ovation models and I really have considered the Maxi II, but I'm afraid I need bigger
Need to get hubby working on that fridge bator!
Shame Brinsea are shabby State-side - in the UK their after sales support is very good.![]()
