Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Hmmmm, I feel like you want the goslings more.
Didn't you hear, EE's aren't a breed. :gig

But that's interesting. I've got all that on my farm property too, so any of those would work for me. Cept I'd probably not want to free range SHs. Maybe not even the flowers. I should probably just get some mutts.
if you want when you're bators are empty I can send you over some Easter Eggers for shipping cost. I never said they were a breed :plbb

Yea I might do that, they'd be different for me. Or I guess I could just hatch some of my comet eggs.

Or I could just try to find some pullets/hens.

I'll holler at ya, when I let hubby decide. :D

Looks good!

I'm glad she's doing better. I'm not sure if you're thinking about trying a prosthetic for her, but if so there's a 3D printing subreddit on reddit and they would probably help you out. I mention it because someone posted about this exact thing, needing a duck foot made for their injured duck, and they had offers of help within the day to make the foot and only charge for materials and shipping :)
That's what I was thinking too when I saw the pic, just pressing against the membrane.

Hey, can you PM me that link???

Oh man the conversation I just had with someone wanting to buy a tablecloth makes me think we need to be teaching kids their shapes better.

The lady called up, said she wanted a square tablecloth, says 52". So I say okay, 52" by 52" and give her the price. She says no, she wants it 52" by 70". Okay, so, oblong, not square. No, she says, she needs a square. So a 52" square or a 70" square? Nope, 52" by 70" square. So you need an oblong, a rectangle shaped tablecloth?

This went round and round for awhile before I convinced her she did, indeed, need an oblong because 52" by 70" is NOT a square.

Oh lawdy, somebody help me. Egg production is up, and bators are full. :D

More auctions!! Btw, get some of the flat rate Med and Large boxes... figure out how many you can pack in each size and use those... takes the guesswork outta shipping cost...

My dad texted me this morning. He said he took a dozen eggs to my mom, a dozen to my neighbor, and still has a ton of eggs. Wanted to know what he should do.

I just told him to stick them in cartons and to eat more eggs. :gig

:hugs

Missed ya...

Holy cow, somebody talks alot. :lau

It wasn't me!!!

I'm not even the top poster on my own thread :lau

Sounds like a good plan. What about the Delaware eggs?

I've recently lost 3 golden comets, to predators we presume, so I need to replace my free-rangers.

Who has recommendations on best free-range, self sufficient birds?

I have blue eggs I could send you too... :D
Great foragers...

Well I'm torn currently. I want to order some goslings from Sandhill to add to my Roman Tufted flock since they should be better quality, but I also want a particular breed of chick they have. You can't mix and match and I can't afford to place two orders with them and meet the minimum numbers for shipping.

Getting the chicks would be cheaper, but I really do want those goslings. The goslings are more expensive, but I already have their set up. I'd have to build a new coop if I went with the chicks so they would cost me more in the long run. However, I do already have the geese, and I don't have this breed of chicken and would like to have them. But, I would have no use for the other assorted 18 chicks I'd have to buy so I'd be spending money on birds I don't really want and would have to hope I could sell them off.

I can't decide, darn it! And I want to mail my order out tomorrow whichever way I decide.

Goslings... go for the Erminettes next year, after you have a setup ready for them... :)
