Well...I do think the are much cuter as chicks.

Lol As long as they can find 90% of their food and will eat most of the bugs, I don't really care what they look like. Heck, you can eat them too and they make almost as good layers as ducks.

Any Serama pips yet?

Not yet. They are pushing on the air cells but not fully absorbed yet, so they can take their time. I'm a little concerned about the biggest one, it's not moving around and has that irregular margin look. The others are wiggly little things. Though my incubator thermometer showed the correct temp where the thermometer sits, it seems as if the shelves below were losing a bit much heat. I think I need to get behind it and close the lower vent.

The cracked SFH quit overnight. Leaking is never a good thing.

And while I had the quat out, I wiped the Call eggs because one looked as if it was adhered as it did not rise to the top of the egg on rotation. There is a ding with radial cracks and sure enough, the embryo anchored to that spot. So I don't give that one much chance for success either.

Watching the heartbeats on 5 day embryos is cool. Wish I could find a way to make a living at it.

I do find that enjoyable, unless I am sitting in my blind and it's on the tree next to me.
