I've heard of cooling eggs for an hour, but not a week! Lol.
Same here. My duck eggs dropped to 52F the night before lockdown (actually had external pips) and I hatched 18 out of 20.

What you been up to?

It is so _ing hot here today! Can't believe we are getting a heat wave this early in the season. Definitely not normal. (Average high for the date is 62, and it's 81 right now. Had to put the sprouts in the shade and am going to have to turn up the sprinklers.
On the bright side, I caught a gopher today that's been mining in my front lawn. One more down.
X 4 on the pics! I have a horrible relationship with my mother, and had to mentally divorce her several years ago. Nice to see such good pics of healthy relationships.
I set them on the counter with fresh eggs and forgot they were there.
Quote: Stay warm!
Quote: I think I was about to, but decided to candle them first. There is a saying "not dead until warm and dead", so that's why I put them in the incubator. I was really surprised to see them moving after they warmed up, and even more surprised when all of them hatched.
I've never even tried cooling eggs, lol...
oops, lol. Some people have no sense of humorI set them on the counter with fresh eggs and forgot they were there.
