Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Got my Call eggs in from Ravyn today! As always, excellent packing and they are in great shape.

Does anyone know if a Brinsea autoturner is okay to use with them laying on their sides? It just slowly rocks the whole incubator back and forth. I would also give them a 180 degree turn by hand once or twice a day.

I was wondering about that same thing with My QGF cabinet yesterday and thought the same thing

That I would have to add some hand turning to it .decided NO NOT GONNA . Ravyn does get really good hatch rates hand turning . I just don't have time to hand turn .

I have to get in there anyway to turn the goose eggs so it wouldn't be hard for me to give the calls a turn too :) But I really don't know that I'll have the time to do it three times a day so I'm hoping the turner will be fine. It doesn't bother goose eggs so here's hoping.

:/  I didn't do that  just knocked of some color over the air cell end with a scotchbrite pad. But I washed them all this time and put a little bleach and hydrogen peroxide in the egg wash mix . Well see if they hatch . Bound to get a few I set 186  about 50 of those were Marans eggs.  I got chickens I don't even know what they are but there are only 4 chickens out there I didn't hatch.  Not only do I not know what they are I don't know how many there are . :lau

No way you could ever count them either!

Personally I prefer to use actual heat plate brooders as I just feel more comfortable with them, but that's a personal preference. The chicks love them.

X2!

Hmmm...

It would likely be fine. The only part that bothered me about it, is they don't get fully rotated. I don't think it matters much when they are upright, but laying down, I'm not so sure. If you plan to roll them all the way over once a day, I do think that would work. Jmho.
