Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I know, I have to agree, everybody was trying to save ,( oh..!!! ...and it was my one and ONLY Snuggle Bug!) his eye!! After all that and you "inquired" about his eyelid.....I was stunned! But still wasn't sure til I got up close and made him blink the next day! :gig
Oh Lordy, I'm rolling on the floor, your killin me!
:lau. Let's face it, it's freaking funny as heII!

:lau :lau

It absolutely was!! And did you notice how quiet everyone else got for a couple days after my post??? Your innocent newbie question made a bunch of old timers look like fools! :gig

Oh no, :gig. they just didn't want to make me look like a fool....I was so embarrassed...you can't imagine....well, yeah, you can. Knowing me you can...
Civets and mongoose...

Mongoose! I was thinking that. Civics look like they should be extinct.
It's LATE. Goodnight Rav ;)

I'm pretty sure that's the cutest picture ever!!

Thanks. :D
She looks like she means "business "....
Stay back or suffer the consequences!
X2! Ravyn I think they'll be several #1's but your #2 pic is really really cool.
He's a lucky...guy!
I'm sorry about your little one... :hugs
Just your horse silly! :lau
Very beautiful birds!
Oh what a cute little...thing!
Happens to me all the time, then I just don't have time to redo it...
Really? She can be a princess at times can't she? I thought she was super tame.
No they were straight run I think I have 2 SDW females, and 1 male, 3 bb reds and 1 male. :D
Thanks Deb!
Once upon a time, I had the largest garden around, all those pepper plants....all that canning....before birds! And before I list two burners on my stove! Grr..
Twins?!? Incredible!!! I hope they make it! If anyone can get both to survive it would be you!
I'm sorry WV. :hugs. It is hard with the babies! Oh my, I have shavings down for my little OEGBs and I've noticed they've ate a few.... should I be changing it out in the double??
I'm sorry, another hug.
Do I need to worry about those shavings? ****!
I'm so glad the little one's better, he must be young..? You wouldn't know what to do with yourself if you were stationary for very long! Think of it this way, it keeps you young K

Just flocking adorable girl!
I just pictured lions, and tigers, and well not bears lol. But those monkeys!!! Their everywhere Chris, all around you!
Edited to say, this might beat my old record! Either 14 or 17 quotes! :gig

Oh she does and yes she will rip skin if you're not careful.

I'm sure that was awesome.

I sure hope so! That little SDW by herself is a super sweetheart! The friendliest and bravest one so far! :love :love.
Thanks WV! I'm completely in love with that chick! She's like my next "Eve".

of course Eve will always be #1. Of course!
I thought Harriet was a bb red. No?

I think you will love these little chicks! Harriett is a mixed color, I believe, closest to ginger red. I got her at a few months old with a few sisters, didn't hatch them. She's in a separate pen from my SDWs now though, as she is the only mix color I kept. Because she's missing some toes and is such a good broody momma. I also have Cleo, a blue brassy from Ravyn, and hatched a self blue a couple weeks ago. :)

Thats what I reckon, after some googling. Sure beats releasing feral cats from the trap. I never knew we had such wildlife around!

Was a cool looking creature. Did it try to fight when you released it? Was it mean and hissing and such?

I ain't quoting all that, Miss Am! :gig

Don't worry about the shavings, eating a little isn't a big deal... and it's actually rare for them to eat enough to harm them... only worry if they make it a buffet... :)

LG is tame, but you don't mess with what's hers! She doesn't bite hard, mostly... but she pinches good... she grabs and does this, "I'm supposed to be eating you up, will you just knock it off and keep your hands off my eggs/'lings!"... my other half won't even get close to her when she's broody though!

Those 2 'lings are from WV's ducks... so friggin' cute, I can't stand it, lol...

Oh yea the shavings aren't usually a problem, but I was grasping at anything.

Juice's grand babies look adorable! :love

Well, Lacie goose is definitely broody. I was hoping she wouldn't do that since there weren't any eggs left in the nest but she had other ideas! Jasmine gifted her with an egg, it seems, so she can keep and hatch it. But now collecting the new eggs that Jasmine lays is going to be very interesting. Lacie's really sweet and doesn't mind me reaching under her at all but I don't like to disturb her. Now I get to play the game where I try to catch her off the nest to do the collecting.

Geese are such great birds. I've seen both Jasmine and Willow 'helping' Lacie with her brooding. They both go into the nest to keep her company, and they and Finn stand guard outside the nest watching over her. Jasmine likes to hiss at me when I approach the nest to try to warn me off. Silly bird doesn't scare me. Finn doesn't bother me at all, he's a very nice gander.

It sure was kicking up a stink! Having released feral cats before, I've perfected the art of opening the spring door with a couple of sticks, so my hands were nowhere near

Sorry to hear about your little call that decided to give up on life

Here's a pic of my completed portable and adjustable roost. I just need to shave a bit off the edges of the 2" wood roost beams and I'm done. The bits of wood you see were only to get the sizing correct. I made it coz my shed / coop is likely to fall down soon, so I can move and play with the length of the roosts and in which run I want to put it.

I'd love to have geese, but DW complains about the noise that the chickens make and since I'm not even supposed to keep chickens where I live, I'd better no push my luck on either front

That's too bad :( They're not as noisy as you would think - I only hear mine maybe once or twice a day when they are alerting to something. Otherwise they're pretty quiet. But when they alert they're really loud, so you probably couldn't get away with having them.
