Maybe what I'm thinking of, but any of those guys are certainly deserving of the title.Dunno, but Billy Joel made a cracking 1978 album by the same name

I like heavy metal and some Grunge.... The Darkest of the Hillside thicket tends to sing about Cryptozoology and some of Lovecrafts creations.Started out kinda punk - interesting

HP Lovecraft is the father of Cosmic Horror within Science fiction. So the music is a bit dark content wise and light musically.
here is another favorite.
One of Lovecraft's tales was about a musician who thought he was being watched and was afraid to quit playing all night for fear he would be taken... by something evil.

I've only ever heard Billy Joel called that, maybe cause of the song, or maybe the song came about because he was called that prior by friends.Who was it that used to be called Piano Man; I can't remember.
Charley Rich? Jerry Lee Lewis? Mickey Gilly? Ray Charles?
Or am I remembering a movie title?
