DH & I got all the straw out of the coop yesterday, got it completely scrubbed down & got the sand in it. It looks amazing in there, like a giant zen garden. If the birds weren't therapeutic enough on their own, now I can take my DD's mini rake out there & comb soothing designs in the sand.

I saw that post with the album cover (van ? somebody ?) I didn't know who he was, but it must've triggered the 60's-70's station in my head. All day I was singing this weird mash up of songs I haven't heard since I was a kid. It sounded like....

Could we ever feel much finer?

On the cousin's boyfriend front, he dodged my father today. His car was in the driveway but he wouldn't come to the door when my Dad knocked. I'm wondering if those chicks died because he wasn't taking proper care of them, like I told him they would, and that's why he's dodging my Dad.

That would be ironic, since he accused me of being the one not taking care of my birds...

Let us know how the sand works for you. I've read good and bad about sand. A few here use it.
