Checking in...thousands of posts behind. Daughter closed on buying her great-grandparents' house. Our puppy is getting big way too fast. I'm putting on a lot of road and air miles and hours for work with a lot more to go. Can't sleep nights...travel proved it's the bed so waiting on a new one. Other than that, life is good and I miss y'all but I just cant come play much right now.

Pond life has become very popular. Hard to function in the world and keep up . I skip hundreds of post . Then go backwards . That way I know the answer before I know the question sort of like cheating on a test .

Yay!!!!..... Andrew Romine did it..... Became the 5th person to play all nine positions...... And her even got the guy he pitched too out....... Well one more game and the tigers are done for the year...... Probably won't watch another game till the World Series.....

That really is pretty dang neat.

Evening all!

The weather was not great for a swap today, that's for sure. It was cold, rainy, and windy. Still, a lot of people came, and I did manage to sell all my AC cull chicks and one of the peacocks. Wish they could have both gone together, but oh well. The guy said he's going to try to find a girlfriend for him, so that's good.

Didn't sell the darn EEs I've been trying to sell for the past few weeks or either of the Call drakes though.

The weather was not great for a swap today, that's for sure. It was cold, rainy, and windy. Still, a lot of people came, and I did manage to sell all my AC cull chicks and one of the peacocks. Wish they could have both gone together, but oh well. The guy said he's going to try to find a girlfriend for him, so that's good.

Didn't sell the darn EEs I've been trying to sell for the past few weeks or either of the Call drakes though.

EEs are a hard sale here to . At least you sold some . You might have to add chicken plucking to your resume

Well I shipped daughter off to Kentucky with the clampetts. . morons couldn't figure out how to pack the uhaul. They got most of it in but any reasonable thinking person could have packed it no problem.
They aren't bad people necessarily just very uncouth. Not people I would choose to be in my life. I just can't help feeling like she has chosen a whole new family over the family that has loved and raised her.
I hope she is happy.

Thought of you today while fishing. We were up a little cove and saw a neat bird on the edge of the water. My phone was not handy, and i figured it would take off before i could get a pic anyway, but we got pretty close to it before it walked quickly up under some tree roots to hide. Quail size/shape, but long beak, short legs. I thought "Pyxis would know what it is!" Lol

to ya all... been a flocked up couple days, eye still hurts, but luckily it is just my eye... for now...
Also have a case of hives... never had that before, I really am allergic to TN... :/ thought it was just a bit of heat rash...

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I also lost all 3 ducklings, bellys were overbloated and most likely bacteria contamination from muck on the eggs, but still is rough losing the little ones...

I wonder if that would help my son Brandon. He has anaphylactic reactions to ragweed and any pollen messes him up all season. He has to alternate between the 24hr meds plus benadryl on top of that...Poor kid spends most of his time indoors and hates it!

funeral today of an acquaintance, Tom. His passing was expected. His wife made the coffin for him.

boy in the back is my son. He helped carry the coffin to the gravesite, but is now running from one side to the other to help straighten out the ropes.

Great pictures Al! Where is that cemetery located? I have seen the old church and cemetery near Ninilchik. They are fascinating and beautiful.

I just had one of those back spasms that make your arm numb....... Worried me for a minute till it finally relaxed back down.
