Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

So, E and I have a "rat trap setting date" in the evenings now...quite romantic. Anyway, we were doing the rounds and the three little ACs began to cry. (You know, the ones that like to be tucked in.)
He walked over to them while I finished securing one of the coop gates. When I got there, he had all three of them in his hands and they were purring like kittens. Apparently, they are successfully wrapping every member of the family around those scaly little toes of theirs.

I'm hoping my PC will be less bloodthirsty than the others. Too young to tell right now, I think they're 6--8 months. So far, they're almost too nice to each other and with the hens.
I had a very difficult time with one of my really mellow SB dudes when I put one of his old buddies back in the bachelor pad. There was blood. I relocated him, so am hoping for success with this next transition. The Bielefelder is twice as big as everyone, but half as brave.
Btw...your duck pic cracked me up. They did have the look of terror!

They were terrified. Clean shavings eat dux, you know.
The flash made them panic too. Poor things.

Hey. .dh says how about using regular concrete gravel (that we already have)
And then use the cut off pieces we have leftover of hardware mesh on top of that. . then cover that with the river rock? That sounds to me like Good drainage plan. As long as we make sure the wire mesh doesn't work it's way up. . but we could actually staple it to the board so it couldn't sink.
What do y'all think about that?
Long as it doesnt rust... paint the cut ends with anti rust paint.

Okay guys....I was watching the History Channel and I just found out Rome fell.
That wasnt supposed to happen.
So I decided to set my time machine to the future..... Because mine is an older model and doesn't have the power to precisely go back in time..... And can't go to far ahead as it takes more power to go into the future. Something about going against the light waves.... They tell me to picture salmon swimming upstream.
Anyway.....I went ahead to my great great grandsons place and borrowed his machine to go ahead in the future farther and borrow an even better time machine...... So I did.... Hugged him and the great great great grandkids....... But when I opened the door to the way far future there was a guy in the other side. He said "red or blue pill" and her looked allot like SC....... So I just came home.:barnie
Ohh can I have one of your cookies......:gig
