I still have to go take care of the chickens. I am dreading it because it is -14 with wind chill right now. Blech! But the birds gotta eat, so I gotta get out there. Then I'm going to go to Home Depot and pick up the wood I need for my quail apartments. I think it's going to cost me less than $25, can't beat that. Better yet, I'm pretty sure I already have everything else I need for the project around, so this should be a pretty inexpensive build.

Yep, I did. Not gonna leave them together though because he is actually afraid of her, running away from her and everything. I'll just try again another time, and will leave their hutches near each other so he can get used to her through the wire.

I am obsessing over Tiny homes.... But cant do the stairs. or ladders. Technically my house is a one bed one bath about a thousand square feet. Used to be a tin sided mobile home till someone built a house around the core... hence the one foot thick walls. they added a living room and a laundry room. Then there is the green house about half the length of the mobile home... and an Art Studio which I use as my bedroom... have to walk through the Green house room up the stairs to the house through the dining room and kitchen to get to the bathroom. So I go outside in the middle of the night.

But its on 18 acres and its paid for... out in the desert prices are PDG.... In the town you can get a single family home on an R1 lot for around 200k... But there is NO work unless you want to drive sixty miles either direction...

I smoked till I was 30...... Have COPD now.
But most of that was work conditions and chronic asthma.
Five years ago my doctor told me my lungs were great.....I thought I would die in 2015 from not being able to breathe.
But since I retired my lungs have progressively gotten better. Usually when it's below zero outside I'm suffering bad.... Not too bad at the moment.
