The last three storms "they" predicted that could have caused snow days fizzled. I was so convinced that the last prediction was right that I was terribly confused when my alarm went off, but we hadn't had a call from school canceling or starting 2 hours late. I also took my time, dragged my feet getting ready to go, and was almost late getting out the door because I was waiting for that call!

I always kick myself for wishing for a snow day in the spring when we have to make up that day. But it's sure nice to not have to get out and clean off the car and water animals at 6 in the morning. If I had a garage it wouldn't be so bad.

I always kick myself for wishing for a snow day in the spring when we have to make up that day. But it's sure nice to not have to get out and clean off the car and water animals at 6 in the morning. If I had a garage it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah, I'm always kind of torn. Yes, I love having a snow day, but like you - I hate making it up at the end of the year. Our school board can't make up their mind how to make them up. They used to have "built in" snow days. (We live in MN, it makes sense, right?) but the teachers thought that if we didn't use them, we should get out that day or two early and were unhappy when we didn't. Then they tried having make up days during the year - the Friday of President's Day weekend, Easter Monday - but the teachers would have plans those days and would still take them off, causing a shortage of subs. So, we make them up at the end of the year. Personally, I think school should be from the day after Labor Day to the Friday before Memorial Day. Everyone has checked out by then, anyway.

No, it's an old injury. Got kicked by a 6month old filly about 7 yrs ago. I keep it moving so it doesn't get stiff but it hurts like heck!

Moist heat would be my recommendation. Got a heating pad or one of those microwave things?

No you don't Brownie mix that requires butter. Melt the butter don't burn the butter chop the cannabis up very fine. If it's real good high quality the amount should be about the size of your index finger . Keep it in the hot butter for about five minutes . Add butter and all to Brownie mix.Then bake as directed . Eat only one wait thirty minutes and if your not affected you can eat another . Lock up the rest and throw away the key .You should know this I picked it up in San Diego . And lets just say I was real cautious where I ate brownies after that . Let me tell you it don't pay to have a country boys apatite sometimes . And nobody said don't eat the brownies or one was the limit. And you won't be passing a drug test anytime soon neither . Yes Yes I was once young and learned quick some things better left alone Can't help loving brownies Maybe I better delete this

Pretty much the same here. What they call built in snow days means we don't get some of the scheduled days off. Then if we run out of those it gets tacked on at the end. And your right about people calling in . . they do that here too. I've been guilty a time or two myself when I've made plans in advance because we were supposed to have the day off.

I was talking about the oil... But Yay for the recipe... We will be giving it a try after the dust settles with the doc.
