Well, I've stalled long enough, and it's time for me to go undecorate the tree. I can leave the rest of the decorations up until next week as we're having one more party this weekend, then they have to go, too. The only reason the tree is going is because it's starting to seriously drop needles and they're pokey. Tree will go out on the deck for the rest of the winter so the birds can enjoy it.

I start back Thursday. . but better go in tomorrow to get stuff prepped.

Well, spouse thought it would be "fun" to shop at Walmart here in the big city.

So... we went shopping... and I lost my hat!

You know I lost my virginity at the lake. I never saw it again Did you check lost and found? A warm fuzzy special knit just for you is hard to come by. All mine are off the rack

We took ours down today, too, but it didn't stop at the deck; it made it all the way to the yard. I usually have a flock of chickens running loose, so why not let them have something new to play with for a while, before I drag it off to the woods to return to earth, rather than the recycle center to become mulch? I should probably run it through the chipper once the needles are all gone, and throw the chips in on top of the mud in the runs. Might just do that!

My mama always said whatever you do on new years day, you do all year long. I'm going to work whats left of my arse off . Still have the last feeding to do , Check on the pregnant doe . Look in on the sickly billy goat . Drug up and try to sleep with a bad chest cold . I'm so sick of mud and rain . Got the skid loader stuck trying to feed hay. And its still stuck . All I can say is it's a good thing I'm not easily depressed . Tomorrow will be the same as today and so will the day after . And the day after that too . I should have known when the cat peed on my pants yesterday morning I was in for a rough couple of days .

With all that snow and ice?!?!

But it would be fun! We could go sledding, and ice skating, and cross-country skiing, and drive around on the lake and make snowmen! It's supposed to be nice and warm for the next few weeks if the weather-guessers have a clue as to what they're talking about.
